Welcome to today’s devotion. My name is Grace.
Have you ever wondered why you are where you are today? Maybe it’s the workplace you’re in, the business you run, your neighborhood, or even your church. Could it be that God placed you there for a reason—to be the voice that changes the atmosphere? Too often, we stay quiet even when we know we can do something about the situation around us.
In our journey of faith, we often seek ways to Find Courage and Purpose Like Esther, embracing the divine call on our lives.
Our reference today comes from the book of Esther 2–4. When Esther returned from captivity, she never imagined she would one day become queen. But God had a plan—He positioned her in the palace for a divine assignment. When Haman issued a decree to annihilate all Jews (Esther 3:13), it was Esther who had access to the king.
Though she was afraid, Mordecai reminded her in Esther 4:14:
“For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?”
Esther risked her life and stepped out in courage. Her obedience saved an entire nation.
How this applies to us today:
You may not be a queen in a palace, but God has placed you in your home, workplace, community, or ministry for a reason. If you stay silent, someone else may rise to the task—but you will miss the blessing of obedience.
Sometimes fear whispers: “You’re too small. You’ll lose your job. They won’t listen.” But courage says: “Do it anyway.” Like Esther, you may feel unqualified, but God qualifies you for the assignment.
How to Live with Courage Like Esther:
- Recognize your position is not by accident – God placed you where you are for a purpose.
- Do it afraid – Courage is not the absence of fear but acting in faith despite it.
- Ask God for wisdom – He will guide your steps and give you the right words at the right time.
You are not in that office, neighborhood, or ministry by mistake. Your voice is the one God can use to bring change. Don’t let Him look for someone else when you are already there.
Prayer:
Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, give us the courage and boldness you gave Esther so we can raise our voices where change and deliverance are needed. Help us to use our position to serve Your plan. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
If this devotion has blessed you, comment Amen and share it with a friend.
